Arkansas community action agencies (CAA) provide Arkansas with a variety of opportunities for low and middle income earners to increase the stability and self-sufficiency of their households.
People on low incomes are given the opportunity to become committed members of their communities through volunteering and other civic activities.
Support and emergency services are provided to people with disabilities and the elderly to help them achieve independent living status.
Infants, children and young people are provided with development services to enable them to reach their full potential.
Arkansas CAA works with a network of community partners to provide opportunities for families to improve living conditions in low-income communities.
Utility costs for low-income households consume a considerable part of their monthly income.
Improving energy efficiency for these households not only reduces utility costs, but also reduces energy consumption.
Arkansas community action agencies provide utility assistance to low-income households through the federally-funded Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).
